Newsletter - 11 January 2019
From the President:
Thank you very much to everyone who worked so hard on Tuesday to assist in setting up for the Summer Festival: Ross Crichton, Nicholas Donovan, Gwen Gray Jamieson, Terri Henderson, Margaret Kyburz, Patricia McDonald, Bob Nairn, Paul Nelson, Colin Rea, Mark Sheen, David Thompson, Jodi Tutty, Liz van der Hor and Niek van Vucht.
We will need a willing work force for Thursday 17 January at the conclusion of play in the South West Pacific Teams. On that day a little time from all CBC members who are playing would help a lot.
Sometimes I seem to complain so it is now nice to draw attention to the selfless behaviour of many of our members. Thank you to the team of Lesley Gunson, Di Hawke, Larissa Cowlishaw and Gill Tidey, who kindly moved to a different event to help the Summer Festival organisers. And thank you to the many CBC members who are trying very hard to accommodate requests for house teams and fill in players; Perelle is very grateful.
The committee appreciates the efforts of the directors in the club who are taking on extra or unfamiliar sessions during the Summer Festival. I am sure that players will also treasure them.
Best wishes for your bridge, whether at the Rex or at Deakin,
Storage space required.
