We encourage our members to attend the Canberra in Bloom events but should you wish to play at the club then the morning session which starts at 9:30am will be open to all players without restriction.
The Supervised Session will still be held at the normal time and the RealBridge Session on Saturday the 4th October will also run as per usual.
Youth Day in School Holidays
The first youth day hosted by Will has seen many young enthusiastic participants and we are grateful to Will for volunteering his time. Even if your youngsters have missed the first one, they can still come to the second session.
- Wednesday October 8th 10am - 12:30 pm
There will be snacks and no experience is necessary. This event is completely free of charge so if you have youngsters in your family who would like to attend please bring them along.
By the way did you ever wonder what these introductory sessions teach? Mini-Bridge is how the young ones get to play a game right away without having to go through weeks of learning! Its simplicity is a great way to introduce bridge and anyone who wishes to play bridge at home with their grandchildren can learn.

Lighter Moments
Today more than the usual number of people turned up to play bridge at our club. Some pairs were trying to get a practice session before the Canberra in Bloom, others were interstate visitors who came a day early before they head off to the Belconnen Labor Club tomorrow. Outside in the car park and inside in the clubroom space was definitely at a premium! This pair got moved to three different tables before the director decided that they just had to sit on the floor. Though they claimed to have been the first ones here, rumour has it that they had never left...
Have a great week everyone and good luck to all our members playing at the CIB. Just a reminder that Monday is a Public Holiday but the club is open as per usual. Also don't forget to change your clocks on Sunday!
