Beginners 

Never played bridge? Have played around with bridge, but would like to learn it properly? Then the Canberra Bridge Club can help you to learn bridge in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment.

Our next course of Beginners lessons starts in January 2025.

Course overview

During the 6-week course you will learn the fundamentals of the game. You will get plenty of practice playing hands.  By the end of the course, you will understand the language of bidding.  You will be able to open the bidding, respond to an opening bid, and work with your partner to find the right contract.  Along the way we will give you card play tips.

4. Suits and Responses
5. Opener's next move
6. Responder's next move

This includes a textbook and detailed notes.
