Christmas Raffles
Have you bought tickets for the wonderful Christmas raffle?
Please support as a portion of the sales goes to our worthy charity, Dementia Australia.
A huge thank you to Adrienne Stephens who bakes the cake and fills the basket with delicious bits and pieces.
- Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.
Beginners Lessons 2026
Did you know that most of our beginners learn bridge because of a friend or family member suggested they should learn?
The club's Beginners Lessons will be starting on Wednesday the 7th of January and we will be running classes in the mornings and in the evenings.
Please encourage your family and friends to come to our lessons.

Youthish Night
The next monthly Youth-ish night for all ACT Bridge Players under 40 years will be held at the Canberra Bridge Club on Friday 28 November 2025.
Entry is FREE and there will be a Pizza dinner!
All ages and experience levels are welcome, no partner required.
Come to either session or both!

Summer Festival of Bridge 2026
Next year SFOB will start on the 14th January 2026 and will be held at two venues: The Canberra Rex Hotel and The Canberra Common which is just over the road from the Canberra Rex Hotel. Wednesday Night Pizzas
The Wednesday night pizzas provide the opportunity for social interaction while enjoying a pizza sampling. It provides a great opportunity to talk to and socialise with your fellow players, which is not always the case when engaged in playing bridge.
- 26 November - 6:30pm
- $5 payable on the day for half a pizza

Online Lessons
Will Jenner-O'Shea is running online lessons suitable for all club players most Thursdays starting at 9:30am.
You can attend the Zoom live, or receive the recording, notes, and replayable hands afterwards.

Lighter Moments
An angel appears in a puff of smoke to a man and says to him, "Because you have lived a good and virtuous life, I can offer you a gift: you can be the most handsome man in the world, or you can have infinite wisdom, or you can have limitless wealth." Reflecting, the man says, "I'll take the wisdom"
"Wisdom is yours," says the angel, disappearing in another puff.
The smoke is barely clear before the man thinks, "I should have taken the money."
