President's Message
On behalf of the Committee, I would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter! For those of you who are visiting loved ones, we wish you safe travels.
Last weekend was a very busy one at the Club!
On Saturday Will Jenner-O’Shea held another very successful Workshop with around 15 tables of enthusiastic members learning all about Defence Techniques, Card Placing and Counting Tricks.
The BFACT Women’s Trials were held last Friday (evening), Saturday and Sunday with 24 keen young ladies all competing for the glory of representing the ACT at the Australian National Championships. The top three pairs of the event will form the ACT Women’s Team which will head to Orange in July.

The Bridge Buddy Program
If you have been playing for less than 2 years and would find it helpful to seek bridge advice from a more experienced player, we can assist. You may have a bridge issue that is puzzling you; you might want help analysing your results; maybe you are learning a new convention and would like to discuss what it involves. If you are interested, please contact Morag Lokan at

Lighter Moments
It was pointed out to me that I've printed the Easter jokes a couple of weeks too early (Newsletter -15 March). Don't worry, there's more:
- How did the soggy Easter Bunny dry himself? With a hare dryer
- What is the Easter Bunny's favourite kind of music? Hip-hop
- What do you get when you pour hot water down a rabbit hole? A hot cross bun
- Why shouldn't you tell an Easter egg joke? It might crack up
Happy Easter everyone!
