Message from the President

Congratulations to everyone who has played in the SFOB over the last 2 weeks. Lots of our members did very well, and some are now competing in the National Open Teams play-offs over the next few days.

I would like to thank Jennifer Yeats for filling in for our managers this past week, and for our directors who did many shifts covering for those who were busy playing.

Beginners lessons are starting next week on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings. We hope they 'learn' to love our games as much as we do!

If you see new faces in the club, please say hi.

-Mary

Lighter Moments

One day, a rabbit walks into a café.   Well, more of a hop than a walk really, being a rabbit.   Anyway, the rabbit asks for something to eat but tells the waiter he is sick of grass and asks what else he could have.   The waiter suggests, “how about a ham and cheese toastie?”  and the rabbit agrees to give it a try.  Well, the rabbit loves the toastie and returns for several days following to have more of the same.   However, the café runs out of ham and offers the rabbit a tomato and cheese toastie instead to which the rabbit agrees.   The next day, the waiter is expecting to see the rabbit as usual but instead sees its ghostly spirit rather than the live rabbit.   The waiter is shocked and asks the spirit what happened.   The ghostly spirit replied that it had been poisoned and was now in rabbit heaven.   When the waiter asked how it was poisoned, it replied, “Well, I shouldn’t have mixed-o-my-toasties.”
